We're looking for 2 kitchen porters to join our Kitchen Team. 

Jobs will include but not be limited to:

- Assisting our cook & the team with washing up

- Cleaning

Young farmers can come along and meet the lambs at 11am thursday 19th - Sunday 22nd February. In this short talk you'll find out how we look after our lambs and why we have to hand rear some of them.

There will be a sign-up form for this free event in the cafe each morning. Spaces are limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

The lambing shed in spring is one of the most magical places on the Humble by Nature farm. It’s also the busiest time of year for Farmer Tim and his wife Sarah, who have to check on the ewes every two hours, including through the night. The first Dorset ewes have started lambing, the main flock will start in late February and won't finish until the end of April.

Along with the new year, Humble by Nature has welcomed some new arrivals!

Over Christmas, two of our Horn Dorset Ewes gave birth to a lamb each. The two ewes have kicked off the lambing season for us rather early, but Horn Dorsets can actually lamb at anytime of year. Both lambs are doing well, and the ewes are great mothers, making us very excited for the up-coming lambing season!

The British Hen Welfare Trust is appealing for kind hearted members of the public in the Monmouth area to contact them now, ahead of their re-homing day on Saturday 3rd January, if they’ve been thinking about re-homing some ex-bat hens.
