Humble by Nature welcome ESSE & Jane Baxter back to the farm

We had a fantastic day in April with ESSE, showcasing their cookers, gas fires and stoves.

Jane Baxter of Wild Artichokes returned to the farm for this special event to show just how versatile the new ESSE 990 EL electric range can be.

Jane showed how to cook a mouthwatering selection of recipes in and on top of the ESSE before serving a North African themed sharing menu to guests for lunch.

Lunch included 36-hour lamb (from the Humble by Nature farm), roasted cauliflower, and saffron potatoes with fennel, thyme and garlic - plus delicious dishes prepared directly on the cast iron hotplates, including home-made focaccia bread, charred leeks and purple sprouting broccoli. Dessert followed with a trio of sweet treats made up of rhubarb and custard pavlova, blood orange and lemon tart, and plum and blueberry clafoutis.
